Coarse Black Incense Dish

Wheel thrown incense dish made from coarse black clay, fired to stoneware and unglazed.   
 
The glaze will appear more of a dark brown rather than black like the raw clay. The glaze can appear with silvery/grey tone over the brown when it pools in areas. 
 
If you have long incense sticks, I recommend trimming down the wooden end of the stick to make them shorter, this will help stop any ash falling outside the dish.
